 "Better Moms Make a Better World"

FCF MOPS is a fun-loving, friendly group of moms who enjoy getting together for games, laughter, great food, speakers, encouragement, and relationship-building, while our kids enjoy the quality childcare programs.  If you are a mom of a preschooler (birth through kindergarten) and are looking for a supportive, welcoming community, you've come to the right place!

2010-2011 Theme: Simply Abide

The MOPS Experience equips women for the joys and challenges of their lives as moms. One key factor in the MOPS Experience is the relationships built within a group. Time and time again, MOPS moms share that the friends they make in MOPS are significant for this season of their life and on into their future. God created us for relationship! It’s one of the defining parts of being human.

However, when you become a mom, all your relationships change.  There are so many demands on your time and energy.  There are so many things to worry about:  Should my baby be on a schedule?  Is my house child-proof?  When should I potty train?  Am I making healthy food for my family?  Do I have any real friends anymore?  Am I going to lose myself in the middle of all this hard work?  Is our family going to make it in this recession?

During the 2010-11 MOPS year, we will explore how to thrive despite all the demands and pressures on us as moms in these difficult times. Through our theme of "Simply Abide," we will focus on encouraging each other with simple ideas that work and reminding each other to keep our eyes on what's important.  We hope that  each mom will come to our meetings and leave feeling supported, refreshed, encouraged, and energized to face the important task of raising her children and being a woman.

Dates:     (generally the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month)
